I’d Much Rather Be Out Showing Homes Right Now…

If you’ve tried to step outside in North Texas over the past few days, you already know — the weather has had other plans. And while I love being busy with clients and out showing homes, this week has been more about watching the forecast than opening front doors.

Truthfully, I’d much rather be out touring houses with buyers, walking neighborhoods, and unlocking doors. That’s the fun part of what I do. But when the weather decides to turn icy, windy, or just downright unpredictable, safety has to come first, for my clients and for me.

North Texas weather has a way of reminding us who’s in charge. One day it feels like spring, the next day we’re dealing with freezing temperatures and roads that don’t exactly inspire confidence. As much as I’d love to power through, no home is worth risking a slip on the driveway or a stressful drive across town.

The upside? These slower weather days are rarely wasted. Behind the scenes, this is when I’m checking in with clients, watching the market, prepping listings, researching neighborhoods, and getting ready for when the weather cooperates again, because it always does. And when it does, we’ll be right back to it.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling, consider this a reminder that timing isn’t just about interest rates and prices; sometimes it’s also about patience. The homes will still be there. The market will still move. And we’ll be ready when the skies clear and the roads are safe again.

So for now, I’ll be keeping an eye on the forecast, answering emails, and counting down the hours until I can get back to doing what I love most, showing homes and helping people take their next step.

Stay warm, stay safe, and I’ll see you out there soon.
